To increase awareness: blogs are an avenue for millions of people to share experiences, express their views and opinions, share information or just share random thoughts.

To communicate: blog subscribers can usually leave comments on a blog post, and may receive replies to their comment. This greatly increases user satisfaction and will keep people coming back to your blog for more.

Your goal is to convert visitors to your blog into subscribers and then into loyal readers. The key to doing this is to publish the kind of content your target audience wants the most.

In the days of Facebook, Twitter and blogging, you may think that email campaigns are no longer effective. Nothing could be further from the truth. A well-executed email campaign can bring in new customers or make existing customers want to buy more of your product or service. Affiliate marketing is a very easy and convenient way to make money online, sitting right in the comfort of your own home. Affiliate marketing is really a legitimate and effective way to earn money on the Internet, and the beauty is that you do not have to have your own product.

Let us first understand what an affiliate program is and how it works. In affiliate marketing, a person affiliates himself or herself with a company and markets their products or services. There is no need to bother about developing a product or service, about shipping, billing, payments, credit or even after-sales service. And even selling! All a person has to do in affiliate marketing is to recommend the company or its product and service and earn a commission on every sale or lead.

Technological advances bring about convenience, so the PC has been succeeded by the convenient laptop and now the even smaller netbook. The iPad had brought a revolution in the way media is viewed, as have digital eBook readers. Reading print is passé in today’s technologically advanced world that wants convenience and innovation at every step.

As the director of Banana, I have taken the initiative to share some of my knowledge without felling any trees by publishing an eBook. The Business eBook supports the Go Green initiative and is ideal for those who want to learn more about social media or business opportunities in the UAE.
